History - How it all began...
She$pends.com was started in October
2006 by a girl named Elisa aka LiS, who
was always known to be the one who knew
where the "bargains" were... or often
referred as the "Bargain Queen".
At one stage of her life she often
relied on the entertainment book (a book
you pay $55 AUD for, and it's mainly
filled with 2 for one vouchers for
restaurant visits - and some other stuff
too!). Often wondering if there was a
portal where she could possibly download
vouchers for free (similar to HotDockets)
but vouchers for the younger
generation rather then just the good old
Pizza vouchers...surprisingly she found
none and decided that it might be a good
idea to start her own voucher portal.
She wanted to start a portal targeted at
younger people who would enjoy saving money
through the use of vouchers, while
advertisers could also reach a wider
audience through the internet. As a
result she purchased the domain names SheSpends.com and HeSpends.com, the
initial plan was to start working on
SheSpends.com and have a website that
focused on Female products and services
where she could "Shop, Spend and
Save" and HeSpends.com was purchased
incase one day she wanted to expand her
network of vouchers to the male
audience.
Unfortunately due to a few hiccups along
the way, the initial idea of
SheSpends.com and HeSpends.com was never
executed instead SheSpends.com was used
as her Travel Blog while she took some
time away to travel in Europe, Middle East
& Asia. |

Upon returning from her trip she felt it
was appropriate to putting She$pends.com aside and finding
herself a proper full time job, but
coincidently she found a position in an
online travel company- a company
respectively known as a world leader and
specialist in the e-commerce arena. With
the help of some friends and
professional e-marketing colleagues at
work she manage to put together all her
ideas for SheSpends.com in a Travel
version to start SheTravels.net where
she could passionately share about her
Travels and also provide a portal with
all the necessary information a traveler
would require to plan a perfect trip.
When the clock ticked at 12:00 AM on
the 4th June 2007, she
proudly launched her first business
venture and portal SheTravels.net and
the slogan for her launching campaign
being
“She took her time, but she has finally
arrived…http://www.shetravels.net/" |

Passionate
about the internet and travel LiS
initially wanted to become an air
hostess for Singapore Airlines (because
she liked the Singapore Girl image) so at the
age of 14 she Kick started her Career in
Travel with Singapore Airlines as a work
experience student. The week of work
experience opened her eyes to the
travel industry, finding herself in a
different department everyday, she
gained the basic knowledge of Ticketing,
Reservations, Cargo Operations, Airport
Operations (yes she got to be a check in
girl for a day!!), Accounts and
Marketing. During that week she noticed
several other categories of
the Travel industry she could
potentially build a career on.
Moving right along at 16 she started her
first TAFE course in conjunction with
her high school studies and began
working for a local Chinese tour
operator and travel agency on the
weekends (no she didn’t have a life
then), upon graduating from High School
at 17 she received her first

contract
with Australia’s Largest Cruise Line
Carnival Corporation – commonly known as
P&O Cruises.
With some knowledge of the internet and
having developed a few sites LiS is
currently working as a specialist in
E-Marketing for one of the worlds most
dynamic and innovative online Travel
Co’s- it sure has been an interesting
path filled with many thankful
opportunities provided by her Employers
along the way.
Throughout the years, she has gained a
great exposure to the travel industry
and through time she came up with the
idea of SheTravels.net, a portal where
readers are able to find real travel
experiences shared with them. ‘Often you
find sites featuring reviews on
particular destinations, hotels or
airlines, but very rarely do you find
any travel sites dedicated to female
travelers, with guides and suggestions
to plan a cost effective, enjoyable and
safe trip and that’s the objective of SheTravels.net, I have so many stories
and adventures I’ve encountered along
the way and around the world and
SheTravels.net will be my portal telling readers all about
them..' |

The Blogger Behind
the Scene...
One evening before
dinner time Erin aka Ez received a call
from her high school friend LiS asking for a
lift to a friends birthday, but also
proposing to her a new venture 'Hey
Erin, would you like to write some
travel blogs??' Ez is like LiS another
Avid traveler who enjoys her time
traveling and more importantly she loves
writing.
During Ez's spare time she enjoys
writing her own blog and also some
children's books. When trying to find
of a blogger, Ez was no doubt the best
candidate in mind - Ez also has lot's of
interesting encounters to share with
you!
What's really surprising... Since Ez met
LiS when they were in High School, Ez
always imagined LiS to be working in
E-Commerce one day... well you got it
